Crystal and molecular structure of 2-exo-(N-acetamido)-5-exo-trifluoromethyl -sin-iodine -norbornane

Description
Crystalline and molecular structure of the product of interaction of 5-endotrifluoromethyl norbornene with iodisofluoro sulphate in acetonitrile at -10 deg C for 1 h is investigated by the X-ray diffraction analysis method. The crystals of the above-mentioned product are monoclinic; at -96 deg C the lattice parameters are as follows: a = 9.525 (2); b 11.083 (3); c = 13.460 (4) A, alpha = 87.07 (2); beta = 76.04 (2); gamma = 68.79(2)0; V = 1284.5 (7) A3; dcalcld 1.80 g/cm3, Z = 4. The presence of two crystallographically independent molecules with nonvalent distance I ... N which is equal to 3.48 and 3.51 A respectivelly is ascertained. The mechanism of N-substituded amide formation is considered on the basis of the obtained data
