Clinical evaluation of narrow-band filtered ultrasonic images
Description
Specifically processed US scans were created by mapping backscattered US amplitudes after selective narrow band filtration of the received ultrasonic signals. Such processing allows, discrimination, which is not evident in conventionally processed US scans, between tissues with different scattering characteristics. Clinical results of the utility of the technique in the evaluation diffuse liver disease, splenic involvement with lymphoma, and focal disease processes are presented
