The radioactive wastes extracted by CO2 in a supercritical state

Description
Russian researchers have shown that CO2 in a supercritical state is able to selectively extract the uranium and the plutonium contained in spent fuels. This work require still a lot of validation studies but could be in the future an option to the current Purex process. (O.M.)
