Description
The aim of the tests was determining correlation between the oxidation velocity coefficient kp and carbon diffusion coefficient Dc in steel. Experiments were performed in high-temperature annealing condition of valve steels H10S2M, 4H14W2M and 50H21G9N4 grades in air atmosphere. Results analysis of performed tests shows that oxidation velocity coefficient kp as a function of carbon diffusion coefficient Dc of mentioned steels have linear growth due to temperature increasing from 940 up to 1100oC.
