The second harmonic of cosmic ray anisotropy and energy spectrum of the Forbush-decreases

  • 1. Institute of Cosmophysical Research and Aeronomy, Yakutsk (USSR)

Description

On data of the world neutron monitor stations for 1964-1974 semi-diurnal cosmic ray variation and Forbush-decrease energy spectrum are investigated. It is shown that during geomagnetically quiet days in a day after Forbush-decrease onset occurs the semi-diurnal anisotropy of large amplitude with the maximum time at 09h. The Forbush-decrease energy spectrum in geomagnetically quiet days is flatter than during geomagnetic storms
