Critical rate of collapse of two-dimensional distributions of the Langmuir oscillations
Description
Numerical and analytical investigations into the structure of axial-symmetrical distributions corresponding to the automodel regime of the Langmuir wave collapse have been carried on. It is shown that localized distributions are realized only in a subsonic regime at velocities less than critical asub(cr)=0.14 vsub(s), where vsub(s)-ion sound velocity
