Synthesis and radioprotective activity of germa and silathiazolidines

Description

Synthesis of many isologues from the IVb series of thiazolidines has been carried out by replacing the carbon atom in the 2 position by a germanium or a silicon atom. These compounds have generally a higher radioprotective activity with a DRF greater than those of cysteamine and also a higher toxicity in the case of germanium derivatives

Trente-deux germa- et silathiazolidines ont ete synthetisees. Leur activite radioprotectrice est generalement superieure a celle de leurs isologues carbones. La toxicite des derives silicies est comparable a celle des derives carbones; celle des derives germanies est en general plus elevee
