Description
A comparison is made between the single particle potentials and spin-orbit interactions for nucleons and ν- or μ-hyperons within the framework of a relativistic mean field approach. This model results in a small spin-orbit splitting for ν- or μ-hyperons compared to ordinary nucleons in nuclei. The anomalous magnetic moments of the hyperons and nucleons have been taken into account. K and K* exchange terms turn out to be negligible. Our prediction for μ-hyperons is to be seen in contrast to a quark model prediction of a strong spin-orbit splitting for μ-hyperons. (orig.)
