A condensed review of the manageral aspects of CD-ROM network system

This report discussed manageral aspects of CD-ROM Network system to reduce executing errors and to provide effective information services to users. The results of this study are follows. 1) Library has to decide the type fo cd-rom network system compatible to the library. 2) A way of acquiring of system purchasing budget is commom utility budgets and has to include system maintenance budget. 3) When decides a provider, it is needed to review price, maintenance ability, statistics s/w, anti-virus functions.4) System manager would be a one wide-range of knowledge about network, equipment, s/w and needs continuous education about system. 5) The system users are required to have more basic knowledge than general users other users, library has to provide various user educations and minute user manuals. 6) Purchasing of CD-ROM for network use is essential and cost-benefit analysis between on-line DB and cd-rom for one user are needed. 7) when constructing Local DB using CD-RM NETWORK SYSTEM, library give attention to copyrigths of the cd-rom. 8) To provide good services through the system, cross cooperation between library and related departments is required
