Description
During the tenure of the International Geodynamics Project, geochronologic and isotopic investigations of the Barberton Granite-Greenstone Terrane were undertaken to refine the understanding of the age and origin of leucocratic orthogneiss and granitoid plutons present there. In addition, the relationship of these plutons, genetically and otherwise, to the Barberton greenstone belt succession was studied. Uranium isotopes, lead isotopes and strontium 86 and strontium 87 were used to determine the age data
