Description
Cross sections for the complete fusion of sup(32,36)S with sup(58,64)Ni were measured at laboratory energies ranging from 79.5 to 152 MeV, which encompass the various Coulomb barriers. The excitation functions are compared with calculations performed in the coupled-channels approach, involving the lowest 2+ and 3- levels of each collision partner, in the constant coupling approximation.
