Multichannel resonance parametrization in the presence of an inelastic background
Description
A new approach to parametrizing scattering matrix elements as a sum of a resonance from plus a unitary background term is described. The relative phase of the two terms and the required analyticity structure at threshold are given explicitly for the two-channel case. The application of this formalism to several πN scattering partial waves is presented and compared to previous work. (orig.)
