Uncertainty Estimation of Analysis of Hg in Fish and Shrimp Sample by SS-AAS Method

Description

An uncertainty estimation of analysis of Hg in Fish and Shrimp sample by SS-AAS method has been done. Samples preparation have been done by using freeze drying. They were then homogenized and sieved, so their grain size of 100 mesh were obtained. The content of Hg in the samples and SRM 1566a has been analyzed by using SS-AAS (solid sampling - atomic absorption spectrometer) AAS 5 EA, ZEISS. The experimental result shows that expanded uncertainty value of fish sample is 4.3636, whereas expanded uncertainty value of shrimp's sample = 2.638. Precision value is = 98.46 % and accuracy value = 97.0 % and limit of detection = 0.0154 ng/g. (author)
