Description
In order to follow the movement of a beach fraction under the effect of the swell 17 kilograms of crushed radioactive glass (marked at 3 mc of Cr 51 per kilogram of glass) have been spread on a strip of 30 meters on 1 meter, at the level of wave breaking. By means of a portable scintillation detector, it was observed that, under the action of a slight easterly swell, this glass moved about 50 meters / hour towards the west. This process proved to be much simpler and faster than all the others methods used in this field. Abstract (French)
