Methods of structural analysis of titanium and its alloys

Peculiarities of structural methods of analyzing titanium and its alloys, are considered. Grinding, polishing and etching regimes for macro- and microsections of titanium alloys, are given. The methods of quantitative metallography, high-temperature metallography, electron microscopy on replicas, diffraction electron microscopy and fractography, are described. The application of X-ray structural analysis to investigate parameters of the crystal lattice, residual stresses, texture, phase composition of titanium alloys, is shown
