The O+1 → O+ electric monopole transition in 112Cd

Description

The low-lying levels of 112Cd have been populated in the decay of 112In (T1/2 = 14m) produced through the 112Cd(p,n)112In reaction at Ep = 6.5-7 MeV. The intensity of ratio of the E0 to E2 K-conversion electrons from the 0+1 level to the ground (0+) and to the first (2+) excited state in 112Cd has been measured and the ratio X(E0/E2) = B(E0; 0+1 → 0+)/B(E2; 0+1 → 2+) has been determined. The result is compared with the predictions of current macroscopic models. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Beim Zerfall von 112In (T1/2 = 14m), das durch die Reaktion 112Cd (p,n)112In bei Ep = 6,5-7 MeV erzeugt wurde, wurden tiefliegende Zustaende in 112Cd bevoelkert. Es wurde das Intensitaetsverhaeltnis der E0 bis E2 K-Konversions-Elektronen von 0+1-Zustand zum Grund (0+)- und zum ersten angeregten (2+) Zustand in 112Cd gemessen und das Verhaeltnis X(E0/E2) = B(E0; 0+1 → 0+) / B(E2; 0+1 → 2+) bestimmt. Das Ergebnis wird mit den Vorhersagen der gegenwaertigen makroskopischen Modelle verglichen. (orig.)
