Synthesis and electrical properties of double borates Ba3R(BO3)3, R=Ho, Yb, Sc

Description
Polycrystalline double borates of barium and rare earths of the general formula Ba3R(BO3)3 (R = Ho, Yb, Sc) were synthesized though solid phase reactions. X-ray powder diffraction studies reveal that the compounds are isostructural and belong to the hexagonal crystal system. The electric conductivity of double borates measured over the temperature range 200 to 500 deg C suggests mixed electronic and ionic conductance with the electronic component prevailing

Поликристаллические образцы двойных боратов бария состава Ba3R(BO3)3 (R = Но, Yb, Sc) синтезированы методом твердофазных реакций. Рентгенофазовым анализом показано, что полученные соединения изоструктурны и кристаллизуются в гексагональной сингонии. Исследованием температурной зависимости электрической проводимости при 200-500 град С установлено, что двойные бораты обладают смешанной ионно-электронной проводимостью, причем преобладает ее электронная составляющаяAdditional details
