An approach to computerized system for recording and processing of weld fault data

  • 1. Institute of Atomic Energy, Otwock-Swierk (Poland)

Description

An idea of weld fault data recording and processing system, using personal computer, is presented. Fabrication faults analysis as well as in service inspection results processing can be performed. The nature, form, orientation, location, distribution and sizes of weld faults are recorded by means of graphic symbols printed by computer or written by hand. Full information about accepted weld faults (together with weld number, kind of material, welding technology data etc.) is stored on diskettes and can be easily analyzed according to specific programmes.
