Determination of uranium in HCl medium by differential pulse polarography

  • 1. Radiochemistry Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

Differential pulse polarography was used for the determination of uranium in HCl medium. The linear range for its determination was found to be in the concentration range of 1.5 to 30 μg/ml. The RSD at 5.8 μg/ml was found to be less than ±4%. Large amounts of thorium did not interfere in the determination. Synthetic samples containing 2.5 and 10 μg/ml of U and 8 mg/ml of Th were analysed within ±4% (RSD). (author)
