Vacuum contribution to the electric polarizability in 1+1 dimensions

Description
An exactly solvable chiral bag model in 1+1 dimensions is considered. The vacuum contribution to the electric polarizability of a ''baryon'' is shown to be finite and not negligible. In a specially simple version of the model, it exactly cancels the valence polarizability
