A study of heavy hypernuclei using the (π+,K+) reaction
Description
The (π+,K+) reaction was used to study lambda hypernuclear states in /sub Λ/9Be, /sub Λ/12C, /sub Λ/13C, /sub Λ/16O, /sub Λ/28Si, /sub Λ/40Ca, /sub Λ/51V and /sub Λ/89Y. The results show that the (π+,K+) reaction is ideally suited for populating lambda single particle states in heavy nuclei. 14 refs., 3 figs
