The system of installation quality assurance used by E.D.F
Description
A general consideration upon the conditions which shall be respected in the construction of large installations, such as nuclear power plants, which shall be ''safe'' (i.e. where the safety of human beings is assured) and ''reliable'' (i.e. without costly unavailability) leads to the conclusion that a specific system shall be established, stating: what is the quality sought after; how to verify that this quality is obtained; how to correct possible mistakes; and how to prove that this quality has been obtained. Such a system implies the implementation of a controlled set of actions, both planned and systematic, of a regulatory, administrative or technical nature
