Differential cross sections in curved-trajectory impact parameter methods
Description
The one-dimensional integral representation of the inelastic scattering amplitude obtained in the curved-trajectory impact parameter method is discussed. The limit of this result when the sudden approximation is valid is investigated and a two-dimensional integral representation for the amplitude for scattering by a fixed anisotropic target is obtained. The relation with other sudden amplitudes is considered. (author)
