Applied software for wire chambers
Creators

Description
During the past decade, large amounts of software have been produced for the processing of wire chamber data. This paper attempts to review the present situation and the current trends. Methods and algorithms for pattern recognition and track reconstruction are presented, together with examples of their application in experiments. The data processing aspects are discussed, particularly in view of the recent developments in microprocessing techniques which suggest new ways of reducing and analysing experimental data. (orig.)
