Best-estimate analysis of SGTR transients for the improvement of EOP

Description
The realistic behavior of SGTR transients for Kori 3 and 4 are analyzed using BE approach based on the realistic system functions and the operator actions following plant specific EOP. The purpose of the study is to investigate BE response of the system during SGTR's and to provide quantitative bases for the improvement of symptom-oriented EOP. The requirement of BE analysis in accident management study is validated by the comparison of results from BE and conservative approach. The adequacy and the extendability of current EOP is verified through various case studies on the operator actions and the break boundary conditions. And, several suggestions are provided for the improvement of current EOP
