Full text of publication follows: In this paper an attempt is made to investigate and control the interaction of plasma Titanium coated ferritic steel in Iran Tokamak-1 (IR-T1). Titanium coating is one of the candidate Plasma Facing Materials of tokamak. Titaniumization is carried out by sputtering method. Some of substrates were baked before sputtering. Firstly, some of the principal thermomechanical properties of this substrate were investigated. Finally, Samples (with distinctive titanium layers) were replaced in different depth in chamber. A comparison of the present titanium coated steel with bare ferritic steel in exposure of plasma and glow discharge condition was made in this research. Depth of impurity penetration, corrosion and deposition were measured by using surface analysis methods such as secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). (authors)
