Framework for nuclear material control in Indonesia

The development and beneficial utilization of nuclear materials have been increased in Indonesia and to prevent the purpose deviate of nuclear material utilization, so that there is need a control from Government. The control of the utilization of nuclear energy in Indonesia is vested to Bapeten (Badan Pengawas Tenaga Nukllir - Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency) according to the Act No. 10 year 1997 and Presidential Decree No. 76 year 1998. One of the control of nuclear materials utilization consists of The State System of Accounting for and Control Of Nuclear Material, and physical protection of nuclear material. In this paper deals with the control of nuclear materials in Indonesia. (author)
