Description
Thermal expansion of uranium + 6 w/o molybdenum was measured by using high-temperature dilatometer in the temperature range of 400 K to 725 K. Specific heat was also measured for the same alloy in the temperature range of 373 K to 573 K by using TA Instrument DSC System (Model Thermal Analyst 2000). The corresponding polynomial expression for percentage thermal expansion in the temperature range of 400 K to 725 K is given as : (ΔL/L0) x 100 = 1.824- 0.013 T + 2.717 x 10-5T2 . (author)
