Formation time in the Lund model

Description
The Lund string model is used in estimation of the average time needed for the formation of final hadrons in high energy collisions. The energy-dependence of the formation time and sensitivity of results on the choice of the scaling function of the model is studied. 20 refs., 5 figs. (author)
