Description
The HDR Safety Program Project has entered the third phase. While the first phase, from 1975 to 1983, was concerned with experiments under normal operating conditions or conditions of an incident for the study of fluid-dynamic and thermodynamic processes and the behaviour of safety-relevant components, the second phase which was successfully concluded in 1988 was concerned with the causes and scenarios of accidents, quantification of safety margins of nuclear reactors, and the modelling of accidents. The third phase which started in the spring of 1988 is intended to yield insight into the long-term behaviour of components and will cover experiments for data acquisition for accident management. Abstract (German)
Das Projekt HDR-Sicherheitsprogramm steht am Beginn seiner Phase III. Phase I, von 1975 bis 1983, enthielt Experimente bei betriebsnahen Bedingungen und bei Stoerfalllasten, in denen sowohl die fluid- und thermodynamischen Ablaeufe als auch das Verhalten sicherheitstechnisch wichtiger Komponenten untersucht wurden. Die 1988 erfolgreich abgeschlossene Phase II vertiefte Kenntnisse ueber Ursachen und Ablaeufe von Stoerfaellen, quantifizierte Sicherheitsreserven von Kernreaktoren und entwickelte Werkzeuge zur Simulation von Stoerfaellen weiter. Die seit Fruehjahr 1988 laufende Phase III befasst sich mit dem Langzeitverhalten von Komponenten und mit experimentellen Untersuchungen von anlageninternen Notfallschutzmassnahmen (Accident Management).
