Simulation of Z-pinch plasma-sheath dynamics in the near-electrode region

Description
Numerical dynamics of Z-pinch plasma in the field limited by electrodes is studied. The simulation was carried out in the terms of double-fluid MHD with regard to Hall effect. Time dependence of the magnetic field arrival to discharge axis on the plasma initial parameters is determined. 13 refs.; 5 figs
