Description

We demonstrate that the resonance between the quanta of second harmonic of Ti–Sa laser and one of energy levels of aluminium atom results in the dramatic enhancement of the four-wave mixing process in two-colour laser field () providing effective THz generation. It is shown that THz emission can be increased up to two orders of magnitude in comparison with the non-resonant process. (letter)
