Soil nay of radionuclide administration into food stuffs

Description
Radionuclide transfer from soils into plants is considered. An important role in this process is played by the soil as an accumulator of long-living radionuclides. Vertical and horizontal migration (washout in reservoirs) is studied in connection with physicochemical properties of the radionuclide and the soil, physiological peculiarities of plants. Transfer of radioactive substances into the vegetation depends on the type of vegetation, soil type and the age of radioactive fallouts. Dependence on the last factor is connected with the possibility of radionuclide penetration in the lower soil layers and the possibility of increasing the degree of radionuclide fixation with soil particles
