Semi-empirical formula of the gas gain in limited proportional region

Description

Considering the space charge effect on gas multiplication a semi-empirical formula of the gas gain in limited proportional region is proposed. Two parameters of gas multiplication, the threshold of limited proportional region Vs and the coefficient of space charge suppression B, are introduced. By analyzing the experimental data the values of these parameters under different experimental conditions are obtained
