Integral excitation functions of n- and p- induced reactions for design and operation of spallation neutron sources

Description
A consistent set of integral excitation functions for the production of radionuclides from Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni by p- induced reactions was measured up to 600 MeV and compared with calculations according to the hybrid model. Excitation functions for n- induced reactions are predicted up to 200 MeV. Improvements of nuclear reaction data required for the technology of spallation n- sources are outlined. (author)
