A description is given of a first wall concept which has been designed at JRC Ispra in collaboration with NIRA ANSALDO SpA, Genova, for INTOR and NET experimental power reactors. This design has been stress-analysed in order to identify the design modifications needed to contain the thermal stresses. (author)
