Nuclear reactor recycling pump utilizing super conductive magnetic force
Description
For circulating fluid in the inside of a BWR type nuclear reactor pressure vessel, fluid at the periphery of a fuel assembly has baeen sucked and then discharged to below the pressure vessel by a jet pump. In the present invention, superconductive coils and coolant supply device are disposed to the outside of the pressure vessel and intense magnetic field is generated at the periphery of the fuel assembly by the superconductive coils, thereby forcibly causing the inner fluid to flow from above to below. As a result, it is possible to eliminate a vortex type reactor recycling pump which occupies large space in the reactor recycling facility and constitutes a source of vibrations due to rotation and cavitation a jet pump in the pressure vessel, pipeways and valves. Further, since the circulation control is conducted by the voltage applied to the electrode, fine control is possible. (K.M.)
