Using a 30 MeV microtron for purposes of the radioactivation analysis
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fizicheskikh Problem
Description
A measurement scheme is described and the limiting parameters are indicated obtained in γ-activation analysis of small impurities of oxygen (approximately 5x10-6%) and carbon (approximately 3x10-6%) in metals with the use of bremmstrahlung of electrons accelerated in a microtron. The changes are described in the design of the accelerating resonator of the microtron which made it possible to increase the accelerated current to 35 μA at an energy of 30 MeV and to improve the analysis sensitivity
