X-ray spectra and electronic structure of Y2VMoO7 and SrV1-xMoxO3 solid solutions

Description
A study was made on effect of cation substitution on electronic structure of solid solutions with pyrochlore and perovscite types structure Y2(V1-xMox)O7 and SrV1-xMoxO3. It was established, that in the case of Y2VMoO7 solid soilution, the complete transfer of additional electron, introduced by molybdenum, on vanadium atoms was observed. Valent combination Mo5+-V3+ was formed. In metallic solid solutions on the perovskite base, only the partial transfer of electron density from Mo atoms to V atoms was observed due to strong Mo4d-V3d-hybridization
