Description
Imaging of cryogenic detectors by Low Temperature Scanning Synchrotron Microscopy (LTSSM) enables a direct observation of spatial profiles of detector response. The spatial profiles give us a hint on what takes place in the detectors and a better understanding of operating principles for superconducting tunnel junctions (STJ) and transition-edge-sensor microcalorimeters (TES).
