Description
It is shown that in a strong circularly polarized laser field a classical electron motion around ions can occur. The scattering of these electrons in a plasma has the Thompson cross section in the limit of a very strong field only and for a subrelativistic motion of the electrons. There are non-ion satellites apart from the basic frequency in the scattering spectrum. (orig.)
