Description
A proposal is made in this paper concerning a free electron laser (FEL) operating under self-amplified spontaneous emission regime. The relativistic electron source for this FEL is the 30 MeV Betatron of the Institute for Atomic Physics in Bucharest. The paper also presents the numerical values for the FEL subsystem parameters in their actual configuration for the amplification of initial spontaneous radiation emitted by the electrons extracted from acceleration chamber.
