Safety technology and fitting to system technics of safety and relief valves
Description
Comprehensive, experimental investigations of safety- and relief valves (a total of 200 tests) have been performed in the KWU Labs for Component Testing in Karlstein with regard to safety-related development as well as to the update of systems-related requirements. Tests were conducted on the valve test stand under reactor specific conditions and actual flow rates. The following gives a description on the test method, the instrumentation as well as performance of test. Both safety- and relief valves showed an excellent functional behaviour along the total parameter line being investigated. (orig.)

Im Labor fuer Komponentenpruefung der KWU in Karlstein wurden von August 1979 bis Maerz 1981 an Sicherheits- und Entlastungsventilen umfangreiche experimentelle Untersuchungen (insgesamt 200 Versuche) zur sicherheitstechnischen Weiterentwicklung sowie Anpassung an systemtechnische Neuanforderungen durchgefuehrt. Die Durchfuehrung der Versuche erfolgte auf dem Ventilpruefstand unter reaktorspezifischen Betriebszustaenden und Originaldurchsaetzen. Der Versuchsaufbau, die Instrumentierung und die Versuchsdurchfuehrung werden beschrieben. Die S+E-Ventile zeigen im gesamten untersuchten Parameterfeld einwandfreies Funktionsverhalten. (orig.)
