Order-disorder transformations in Ln2Ti2O7 (Ln - Lu, Yb, Tm, Gd)

Description
Aimed at possible detection of low temperature modifications of Ln2Ti2O7 with a fluorite structure the codeposited products at Ln : Ti = 1 : 1 (Ln - Lu, Yb, Tm) are studied in a temperature range of 350-950 Deg C. A search for a high temperature pyrochlore → fluorite phase transition in compounds mentioned is carried out at 1400-1700 Deg C. It is shown that for the first time in Ln2Ti2O7 compounds a low temperature fluorite ↔ pyrochlore transition at ∼ 800 Deg C is revealed. A range of low temperature fluorite stability is 600-800 Deg C. For Ln2Ti2O7 at 1700 Deg C a high temperature pyrochlore → fluorite transition is assumed to exist. The formation of phases with fluorite structure escaped detection

Исследованы продукты соосаждения при Ln : Ti = 1 : 1 (Ln - Lu, Yb, Tm) в области температур 350-950 град С с целью возможного обнаружения низкотемпературных модификаций Ln2Ti2O7 со структурой флюорита. Проведен поиск высокотемпературного фазового перехода пирохлор → флюорит в указанных соединениях при 1400-1700 град С. Показано, что для соединений Ln2Ti2O7 впервые обнаружен низкотемпературный переход флюорит ↔ пирохлор при ∼ 800 град С. Предполагается существование высокотемпературного перехода пирохлор → флюорит для Ln2Ti2O7 при 1700 град С. Не обнаружено образования фаз со структурой флюоритаAdditional details
