Evaluation of hypoxia at dredged trenches in Tokyo Bay by determination of redox sensitive elements in the sediments

Description

Sediment samples were collected from Tokyo Bay, and the concentrations of some elements were determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Though hypoxia has been observed in dredged trenches, it is suggested that upper layers of the sediments are more oxidative than lower layers. (author)
