Performance of a non-stationary implicit scheme for solving large systems of linear equations

  • 1. Australian Atomic Energy Commission, Res. Establishment, Lucas Heights Res. Labs., Private Mail Bag, Sutherland, NSW 2232

Description

The performance of a non-stationary iterative scheme for solving the large system of linear equations arising in neutron diffusion calculations is reported. The method is compared with successive over-relaxation and conjugate gradient methods. Practical aspects of its implementation on computers are considered
