Atomic effects on the estimation of vsub(e) mass from the β-spectrum in tritium decay

Description
We make a rigorous estimation of atomic effects on the tritium β-decay spectrum due to the exication of the final continuum atomic states. These effects are found to be small in contrast to the conclusion one might obtain on the basis of the planewave approximation. (orig.)
