Electron structure of amorphous Fe-B

Description

Calculation results for electron structure of amorphous Fe-B are given. Boron part in this system is considered. It is shown that there are peculiarities similar to Ni-Pones within Fe-B system: formation of localized states near conductivity zone bottom, formation of antifixing p-states higher, than Fermi level, hybridization of metalloid state with metal d-state, Fermi level in both systems is near minimum in density of metalloid electron states. Changing of local symmetry does not result in essential variations of electron structured
