High spin resonances in 28Si + 28Si scattering

Description
Angle integrated cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering of 28Si + 28Si show structure as a function of energy similar to that previously observed in single-angle excitation functions. Angular distributions for the elastic scattering are well described by pure [Psub(L)(cos theta)]2 shapes with a sequence of angular momenta which closely follows that of the grazing partial wave.
