Description

This paper deals with effect of resonance on the motion of a geocentric satellite in the Sun-Earth system due to stokes drag. In presence of radiation pressure and Stokes drag together three resonances 1:1,2:1 and 3 : 1 have been found whereas the four resonances 1:2,2:3,3:2 and 4 : 3 are found due to Stokes drag only. The effects of Stokes drag on amplitude, time period and contour plots have been discussed at the last four resonances. It is observed that amplitude and time period decrease as dissipative constant c∈[0,1) increases. (author)
